Clean Up Time

Our company

Our Company was established in 1982 as A. J. West trading as Clean Up Time, working from home. The main source of business in the early days was carpet and upholstery cleaning, and floor stripping and renovation. This involved both domestic and commercial properties such as public Houses and Hotels.

In 1983 we secured our first initial clean for Totty builders which meant our first venture into employing people. These builders cleans led to our being asked by the builders clients to quote for the daily cleaning and in 1984 we secured our first daily cleaning contract.

Working now on three fronts, storage facilities and offices were rented in Ossett, and as daily cleaning work built up, there was less time for domestic carpet cleaning so this work was ceased. By 1994 daily cleaning had taken over almost completely from builders cleans and commercial carpet cleaning, and we were able to purchase our own property in Newton Hill, rather than renting.

At the same time Clean Up Time became a limited Company. Clean Up Time Ltd. At this point the Company consisted of two Directors, Alan West and Lesley Howes.

In 2008 the property in Newton Hill was sold and we moved to our new offices in Ossett, and at the same time incorporated Robert Howes as a Director having been General Manager for some 10 years.
